dQuery Full Version -- Download.
dQuery is a suite of tools to create database Queries, Reports, Perform ETL tasks, and generate simple Windows and Web applications for accessing your databases.
By just dragging and dropping and through the use of numerous wizards, you create connections which find, filter, link, query, report, and perform powerful ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) operations easily with live or off-line data. Without having to write one iota of code. Without hiring consultants.
What’s our secret? We perfected the world’s first great database, dBASE, and invented a powerful, yet remarkably simple tool that connects and queries data from multiple databases, simultaneously and in real-time. |

-
Create reusable database connections to:
-
Create reusable and shareable datamodules (dQuery views) that can incorporate tables from different databases and different database engines
-
Base a new datamodule (dQuery view) on an existing one by “inheriting” from the existing one
-
Setup ad-hoc parent/child relationships between tables and store them in a datamodule
-
View, navigate, edit data from a table
-
View, navigate mulit-table view containing selected columns from one or more related tables
-
Generate report from a multi-table view
-
Save and customize generated report
-
Output Report to Window, to Printer, to HTML
-
Add queries to a datamodule via drag-and-drop or by creating a SQL statement either via wizards or manually
-
Create and run queries that prompt the user for input values before running
-
Filter and sort data on the database server via one or more of the following:
| |
SQL Select Wizard |
Walks you through building filter conditions without having to know SQL |
|
Star Filter |
Filter a table via date, character, or numeric value or range and via foreign key lookups in up to 5 lookup tables |
|
SQL Query Designer |
Used for designing complex queries and saving them to plain text files |
|
Hand-Code SQL Dialog |
Allows users proficient in SQL to manually enter or paste in SQL code and to create queries to prompt the user for input before running the query (via parameterized queries)
|
-
Filter query results on the client machine via one or more of the following tools (See Note 1):
|
|
SQL Rowset Filter |
Filter via filter conditions built using SQL expressions (similar to WHERE clause conditions) Walks you through building filter conditions without having to know SQL |
|
|
Standard Filter |
Filter via filter conditions built using dQuery’s dBL language. Walks you through building filter conditions without having to know dBL |
|
|
Fast Indexed Filter |
Filter based on a value or range on an indexed column |
|
|
Filter By Grid |
Enter values to filter by for table columns in data grid and then see filtered results within grid
|
- Create new table (See Note 2)

Report Designer - Allows you to create new or customize existing reports via a graphical object oriented report designer • One-Click Windows Application Wizard - Uses the datamodule (dQuery view ) to create and deploy a Windows application that allows you to view, add, modify, search, or filter data in selected tables and run reports attached to the datamodule.
-
One-Click Web Application Wizard - Uses the datamodule (dQuery view) to create and deploy a Web application that allows you to view, search, or filter data in selected tables and run reports attached to the datamodule
-
Web Wizards
-
Remote Data Entry Wizard Creates a web page to gather data from a user and a server side application to receive the data and store it in a server-side database
-
Query and Response Wizard Creates a web page for a user to enter and submit a query value, a server side application to perform the requested query, and a report to generate the query results and return them as a web page.
-
Live or Static Report Wizard Live Report - Allows you to pick a report to deploy to a web server and link to a web page. Every time a user clicks on the link or enters the report’s URL the report is re-run on the web server so it can return up-to-date data as a web page. Static Report - Allows you to pick and run a report and then publish the resulting report data as a web page to a web server.
-
dQuery/Web
-
Implements a subset of dQuery’s capabilities over the Web
-
Allows you to design datamodules (dQuery views), multi-table views, and simple reports remotely via a web browser.
-
Datamodule Source Code Viewer (Business User Install) - Allows you to view the dQuery dBL source code generated for your datamodule
-
Source Code Editor (Developer Install) - Allows you to view and modify the dQuery dBL source code generated for your datamodule or reports
